This post might as well not have photos. When I was thinking of where I've been lately around Los Angeles that I could share for today's Found post, I decided on one of my favorite spots. One thing that keeps this city exciting is all the different places to view it as a vast metropolitan.
When my family came to visit earlier this month, I took them to two different overlook spots in northern L.A. to show them the city - first as the sun was setting, and (these pictures) the next day to see more... There's a city back there somewhere...
While there is rarely a cloud in the sky, the early mornings are the only time when it's really clear. The air is too thick. But this day was especially, surprisingly, foggy and pointing out the few places we've gotten to know here was challenging. It became more exciting to run around dirt paths of the hills we were on and point out our favorite houses from below.
My sister wanted to see the Hollywood sign - she'd missed it last time. I don't think this is what she expected. A tourist taking photos near us asked me to take his picture in front of the sign and no matter what angle I tried I could not get the letters to stand out from the gray backdrop he stood in front of.
I'll have to repost when the sky resembles it's natural color.
Do you have any cool lookout spots in your city? A few stunning spots in Seattle and its surrounding neighborhoods come to mind for me - perfect in any season.
